How to toggle background music and adjust voice vs. music volume

Overview

This article explains how to turn background music on/off during a session and how to change the relative volume of the app voice (narration) and background music.

Turn background music on or off

1. While a session is playing, tap the background music button on the session screen.

Adjust voice and music volume

There are two volume controls to check:

• In-app music control: While a session is playing, tap the background music button and use the in-app slider to lower or raise the music volume.

• Device media volume: Use your device's physical volume buttons to adjust the overall media volume. This affects both voice and music levels.

Tip

If the narrator voice becomes much quieter than the music, first lower the in-app music volume, then use your device media buttons to set an appropriate overall level.

Troubleshooting

• If changes don’t take effect, close the app completely and reopen it.

• Ensure your device is not using any audio mixing or Bluetooth device that modifies levels.

• Keep the app updated to the latest version.
